Creative Arts Safaris began as Indian Adventures' Tactile Textile Tours to share their enthusiasm for the arts and culture of Northern India through fully escorted small-group tours focusing on textiles and culture. This idea has grown into the Creative Arts Safaris range of tours, focusing on the arts and culture of a place with a particular ephasis on textiles or food. We embrace the creative arts. Our tours range from textiles, artistic and cultural journeys to the tasty and sustaining pursuit of good cooking. Our tours travel to exotic locations for the sheer pleasure of being there, the opportunity to soak up rich cultural experiences, and because we believe that moving away from everyday life to somewhere a little magical will help you refresh and unlock your own creative spring. The tours are really a workshop lead by a tutor and special parts of the world form the classroom. Each tour is fully escorted by a host so the tutor and group have plenty of opportunity to soak up the experience, discuss their observations and work on their creative interests as the journey unfolds. Live, laugh, learn is our motto. Our tours take advantage of exotic locations, utilizing good quality, comfortable accommodation full of character [always with private western style bathrooms] In India we favour family run heritage hotels- a chance to live in the Zenana or women's quarters of a centuries old fort or perhaps our own palace...[our visits help with the upkeep of these antique jewels],in Morroco -renovated Riads or traditional homes and in other places we look for arty, interesting areas to stay. Vietnam we are lucky enough to stay in traditional homes with local families. Do, please, join us! |

| We support Fair Trade and Self-Help organizations where we can and so the only ‘shops’ listed on our itinerary come under this category. Don't worry there are also lots of other markets and bazaars we can visit too! The same for our hotels- we try to find family run ventures rather than large chain groups that meet our standards of comfort and local character- some places are rather flash, some simple home-stays; all are the best locally for food and friendly service. Creative Arts Safaris are proud to assist The Shakti Project of Rajasthan, an initiative to get kids off the street and into an education and a nutritious meal each day, www.shakti- streetkids-pushkar.org We keep a look out for other local initiatives in the places we visit. Every little bit helps make our world as we would like to see it. Our new home is the hotel Our Pukka Place www.our-pukka-place.com in Pushkar, India |
