Fluent in English and Dutch, some French ,German and Italian.

TRAVELS
1989- travels in Europe
1990-  6months of travels through Egypt, Africa ( Kenya to Morocco- through
Tanzania, Burundi, Congo, Central African republic, Cameroon, Nigeria, Niger,
Algeria and Morocco) 6 months of travels throughout Europe.
2000 Three month residency at Chateau de Chassy  near Chateau Chinon in the
Morvan region of France ( side trip to Italy)
2000-2008 regular trips to Europe for teaching purposes and exhibition purposes
( usually twice a year) focusing on France and the Netherlands.
2006- travels in Egypt and Syria, United Arab Emirates , Kuwait ( with my 14 year old
daughter-9 weeks)
2007- travels in Syria ( with my 11 year old daughter)- 4 weeks

ARTIST RESIDENCIES
Chateau de Chassy which was once the home of the French painter Balthus,
Burgundy, France for three months in the year 2000 with the assistance of the Ian
Potter Cultural Foundation Australia and Australia/France Foundation grant

COLLECTIONS
Dijanne’s work is collected in the collection of Chateau de Chassy, the Thomas
Contemporary Quilt Collection in the USA, The Husqvarna Viking Corporate
Collection and many collections of private individuals in the USA, The Netherlands,
France, Switzerland,Germany, England, New Zealand, Thailand and Australia.

CURATING
2006-2007 Curating Sense of Place which will exhibit at Samson Hill Winery,
Kangaroo ground, Al Ba’Ath Gallery Damascus, Syria, and Arte Textile, Le
Palaisseau, France
2005-2007 Across Australia, which will be exhibited in Australia, the Panorama
Mesdag in The Hague, the Netherlands in October/November 2005, Tripoli Libya, The
Opera Gallery Cairo, Damascus and Allepo in Syria, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Tel Aviv and
Nazareth in Israel and Sakakini Arts Centre, Ramallah ( with the assistance of the
Australian embassy in these localities)

2003 “Organic” a travelling exhibition of work by four Australian artists which has been
exhibited in the Netherlands, Wales and Australia

2001-2002 Antipodean Art quilts known as Under the Southern Cross, which has
travelled to Europe, New Zealand, and Australia

2001 Twisted- Interpretations of the Natural Environment that travelled to England, the
Netherlands, New Zealand and galleries and quilt shows in Australia.

2000-2001 Australian Bounty- Australian Art Quilts that travelled to France, The
