Holiday Sketching- Vietnam 8-21 November, 2008. Tutor Leonie Norton Vietnam is a peaceful place, a picturesque place, a friendly place -the perfect patch of paradise to relax and develop new skills. Time to wander, time to sit and sketch in the company of a skilled tutor -Leonie Norton and a group of like minded souls is what the Safari ‘Drawing Vietnam’ has to offer. All the details are taken care of so you have the chance to be immersed in a rich culture, beautiful landscape, good food and welcoming villages. We will start in atmospheric Old Hanoi and then travel into the countryside, stay in comfortable hotels as well as take the opportunity to get off the tourist trails to stay in a village in a traditional family home [they do have western bathroom facilities for us]. As the mood suits us and the scenery inspires us we have the chance to stop, wander and sketch. Scenery will range from the Old Town of Hanoi to rice paddies, bustling little village markets, riverscapes, lush tropical rainforest to the magical rock formations of Halong Bay. After breakfast each day we will spend time focusing on a particular element- clouds, water, morning light, people and etc before we head out for the day, evenings there will be a chance to look at and discuss work, add those final touches. All skill levels are welcome, from those who have never attempted sketching, to those who already visually record their experiences. You will amaze and delight, yourself, your family and friends with a personal and unique record of your travels in this relaxed and peaceful part of the world. click CV of Leonie Norton Future years will follow a similar itinerary. |
