This tour was designed as a celebration of the variety of foods available and the myriad of ways they can be turned into a tasty dish. This is a chance to taste a friendly and welcoming culture and to travel through a country that could be described as an earthly Garden of Eden, nearly every inch of space has something growing on it that could become part of a delectable meal! We have the chance for hands-on experiences in home kitchens, helping collect produce from the home farm, visiting interesting markets, eating with local families as well as visiting excellent restaurants and the opportunity to collect recipes from their chefs. Vietnam has had a tumultuous past upon occasion and necessity being the mother of invention has lead to the discovery that many things can be tasty if prepared well- so we will also have the opportunity to try some rare delicacies only found in Vietnam, if we so choose. Future tours will follow a similar delicious itinerary. |
